Dear Anna,

I think we can officially declare you a menace now. You still look innocent, of course. At night, you have decided that the big bed is yours, and Daddy should sleep on the floor (you only tolerate me because I have the snack bar). Not just that, but instead of crying when you are hungry, like any self-respecting 6-month old does, you either call out "Hey!" playfully, or say "MM-MMama". I guess it's time to start teaching you to say please... During the day, you have started stealing everybody's food. You are VERY good at it. Alex, on the other hand, is not very good at keeping you away from his food. It's getting harder to watch what you are eating; obviously, the
"one new food a week" rule can't work with you unless we put you in a straightjacket. You are obsessed with toes, especially big ones; yesterday you really tortured Daddy when you were playing on the floor and tickling his toes mercilessly. I also suspect that you are harboring hopes of getting my big toe into your mouth, but I'll do my best to see that this doesn't happen. I should mention that you haven't given up on your own toes yet, but either your legs have to get a bit longer, or you need to lose an inch or two of belly.

As always, lots of love,
Mommy
