Dear Anna,
You are such an interesting person lately. In many ways you continue to be the opposite of Alex, yet both of you are pretty loveable most of the time. Your recent achievements include being almost completely potty-trained (at 2.4 years old), casually counting to 20, recognizing most digits and even a few letters (especailly if they spell the word "Moo!", which you, like your Dyado Nasko, seem to like a lot). You like to clean and help us around the house, and just today you helped me assemble a small computer desk. When I asked you for a wrench, you actually picked up the right thing and gave it to me. Have you been moonlighting at a car shop? You are still very babish-looking, but a bit less so because you have quite a bit of hair. Cheeks are still accounted for and frequently kissed. You are slightly less violent, and for some reason, very afraid of our small kitty Mishka all of a sudden. Now Alex, who should normally inspire more fear, doesn't frighten you at all, and you beat him up almost every day (lovingly). We are getting ready for our trip to Bulgaria in 10 days, and I have a feeling that I'll have lots of "help" packing this time.

As usual, you are a true beauty at the beach and having some serious fun. We visited your grandparents in North Carolina, where in addition to the beach fun, you and your brother engaged in some artistic activities, such as playing four-hand pieces on the piano. At least your brother was playing, you were more interested in slamming the cover over his fingers when he wasn't paying attention. A bit later, you also tried to figure out either (1) how the piano pedals work, or (2) how to pull them off without anybody noticing.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Alex,
School is over, and you are going to Kindercare for a few weeks (a couple before and a couple after our vacation in Bulgaria). Your first day back there was quite eventful. You danced with a girl, but not Jennifer, your supposed best friend there. You danced fast and you danced slow. In front of a mirror.... Two boys came and tried to take the mirror away, but you stopped them. All this time, Jennifer was watching you "like this" (you showed us the face, it was quite appropriate). Then, after you were done dancing, you tried to play with Jennifer, but she kept running away. You eventually caught her, and she told you that she thought you were her friend. And most innocently you replied that you were her friend, you were just dancing with that other girl, whose name you couldn't even remember. And apparently you no longer plan to marry Alena since you like Kylie, too. Hm, quite a soap opera in the making.

Did I also mention that you look absolutely gorgeous?
